Kiss with eyes open

Question:

In movie every scene is like this,

and we do it everytime when we kiss,

but why we need to close our eyes?

It's so weird.

Is it more comfortable?

Or just to avoid awkward while staring in each other?

Do anybody know why?

Once, I tried open my eyes while kissing,

He's opening his eyes too at the same time,

It's ok for me, not so weird,

After all we're not stranger too,

But just to remind you that you need to clean up the mirror after you did that.
